HAWITA presents Taspo award to Weber barbecues

The HAWITA Group is once again one of the sponsors of the Taspo award. This prestigious award is given by Taspo, the sector’s leading weekly newspaper. The substrate manufacturer for professional horticulture and landscaping, based in Vechta-Telbrake, Germany, presented the Taspo award for the best marketing activities. The prize winner this year is Weber-Stephen, manufacturer of the legendary Weber barbecue. ‘The Weber campaign has been excellent for the industry,’ commented HAWITA associate Simon Tabeling enthusiastically at the award ceremony in Berlin on Friday (23 November).

 Weber-Stephen’s approach to marketing is creative and makes use of multiple channels. The company’s slogan, ‘Perfect Moment – Perfect Tool’, appears in all forms of media – in TV ads, in print, in customer catalogues, in ads in popular and special-interest magazines, on its website, on online banners and on its Facebook profile.

 The 360-degree campaign includes a collaboration with the TV show ‘Wetten dass?’, a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the ad available online, a ringtone based on the TV ad music as a download from the website, a design for a truck trailer, perimeter advertising in football stadiums and a Weber app.

 Weber-Stephen has been able to achieve exceptional increases in its gross sales, brand awareness and brand image within the campaign period. 80% of the target group were reached by TV and online. The brand ambassadors also achieved strong organic growth of over 600% on Weber’s Facebook page.
